Week 186: Missing.

The term "I miss you" is a funny one. I've been thinking about it all week and how it feels to miss certain people. Some times it feels right to say it, but other times when I say it, it doesn't feel right.

It obviously depends on who I am missing. When you think about it, how else do you say you miss someone without actually saying it? What other terms are there?

In French it doesn't translate as "I miss you". "Tu me manques" which translates closer to "you are missing from me". This makes more sense and I am a firm believer of good logic when it comes to displaying emotions. To be missed is a rather flattering compliment in my eyes.

Thanks.
Dan.

This was a quick shot in a small bar in Battery, Lower Manhattan. That drink was work a lot of money. I miss New York like I miss a fond relative.

Week 185: Looking back.

I look back on a certain state I was in last year. I was unhappy, I was miserable and I didn't offer any help to myself or others around me. I look back and now I laugh.

I am now happy, laughing and smiling. Back to my normal self.

A photograph from a few years back at the 9/11 10th memorial. I'll leave you to make your minds up about it.

Week 184: Settling in.

I think I've settled into my new location.

Just a quick one this week. A photo of the same male model as last week only ten minutes after the other photo was taken. Managed to make it seem summery!

Week 183: So bloody busy.

So with this new job and new outlook on life, everything has become so busy. Not too busy, it's still become quite easy to live aside of my job. I believe that if you keep working hard at something, keep your nose to the grindstone and can still manage live a joyous life on the side, then all that can happen next is to work harder and enjoy a even more fruitful life in the long run. I'm going to keep it short this week as I have much to do and there hasn't been too much thought on the emotional runnings as of late.

Thanks for reading.
Danny.

Another quick shot for Hype, in New York. It was meant to be a pre-summer shoot. However, because we are planning ahead so much and it still being February. It was freezing. We took a long a few Hype Sherpa hats and I got this quick shot of a model before we almost froze on the High-rise in Lower Manhattan.
